Privacy Policy
MoovieMe · Privacy & Safety
MoovieMe Privacy Policy
MoovieMe Inc. (“MoovieMe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to transparency about how we collect, use, process, store, disclose, and protect information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the MoovieMe mobile application, the MoovieMe website located at https://moovieme.ai, and related products, features, communications, websites, applications, and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”).
MoovieMe enables users to create collaborative Stories by uploading and contributing photos, videos, audio, and other media. MoovieMe uses artificial intelligence and automated media-processing technologies to understand submitted content, identify relevant moments, organize footage, generate editing recommendations, create or arrange sequences, process audio, and produce completed movies.
Because MoovieMe is a collaborative multimedia platform, information processed through the Service may relate not only to registered users but also to contributors, Story participants, people appearing or speaking in uploaded media, and other individuals who do not themselves have MoovieMe accounts.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, where that information comes from, how and why we use it, how artificial intelligence is used, when information may be disclosed, how collaborative and public features affect privacy, how long information is retained, how account and content deletion work, how we handle information concerning minors, and the privacy rights and choices available to you.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
The Service is operated by:
MoovieMe Inc.
2810 N Church St STE 89168
Wilmington, DE 19802
United States

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the MoovieMe Service.
It applies to registered MoovieMe users, Story hosts, invited contributors, Story participants, visitors to the MoovieMe website, users of MoovieMe’s social and discovery features, individuals who contact MoovieMe, and, in certain circumstances, people depicted or recorded in User Content even if they do not have a MoovieMe account.
Additional notices or policies may apply to specific features or categories of information.
Content involving minors is also subject to MoovieMe’s Minor Content Policy, available at:
https://moovieme.ai/minor-content-policy/
3. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with MoovieMe and which features you use.
3.1 Account and Profile Information
When you create or maintain a MoovieMe account, we may collect information such as:
- first and last name;
- display name;
- username;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- date of birth or age range;
- profile photograph;
- profile biography or other profile information;
- account identifiers;
- authentication information;
- account settings;
- privacy settings;
- following or follower information;
- subscription information;
- and other information you choose to add to your profile.
We may request age or date-of-birth information to determine whether you are eligible to use MoovieMe and which age-appropriate privacy and safety protections should apply.
3.2 User Content
MoovieMe is fundamentally a media-processing and collaborative storytelling service.
We therefore collect and process content that users choose to upload, record, submit, share, publish, or otherwise make available through the Service (“User Content”).
User Content may include photographs, video clips, audio recordings, voice recordings, narration or voiceovers, finished movies, thumbnails, captions, titles, comments, reactions, votes, clip requests, Story descriptions, prompts, event information, posts, profile content, and other materials submitted through the Service.
User Content may contain the image, voice, likeness, activities, surroundings, conversations, or other personal information of the uploading user or other individuals.
Depending on what users choose to record or upload, User Content may incidentally reveal information that could be considered sensitive under applicable law, such as information concerning a person’s location, health, racial or ethnic characteristics, religion, sexual orientation, family relationships, or other personal characteristics.
The presence of such information in User Content does not mean MoovieMe intentionally requested it or uses it to create a profile concerning those characteristics.
3.3 Information About People Appearing in User Content
A user may upload photos, video, or audio containing people who are not registered MoovieMe users.
As a result, MoovieMe may process information relating to individuals who did not directly provide the information to us.
This may include a person’s image or likeness, voice, actions, appearance within a particular event or location, contextual information about their apparent role in an event, spoken words, and other information contained in the uploaded media.
A person does not need to have a MoovieMe account to contact us regarding content in which they believe they are identifiable.
Our procedures for these requests are described below under Requests Concerning Content Submitted by Other People.
3.4 Story and Contributor Information
MoovieMe allows multiple users to participate in collaborative Stories.
Depending on how a person is invited or joins a Story, we may process information such as Story identifiers, invitation identifiers, first name, last initial, MoovieMe username, email address, telephone number, invitation status, participation status, content contributed, comments, reactions, votes, clip requests, and other Story activity.
3.5 Invitation Information
A Story host or other authorized user may invite people through methods including QR codes, shareable Story URLs, SMS or text message, email, MoovieMe username, telephone number, email address, or a person selected from the inviter’s device contacts where permission has been granted.
We use invitation information to facilitate participation in the relevant Story.
Being invited to a Story does not, by itself, authorize MoovieMe to use the recipient’s contact information for unrelated promotional communications.
Depending on the invitation method and feature, an invited participant may need to authenticate or establish a MoovieMe account before contributing media or participating in Story activities.
3.6 Media Metadata
Photos, videos, and other files may contain technical or contextual metadata.
This can include file type, file size, video duration, creation date, creation time, device information, technical media properties, encoding information, orientation, and location information embedded within a media file.
Location information may include GPS coordinates, EXIF data, asset-location information, or similar metadata where available.
3.7 Location Information
MoovieMe may process location information from several sources.
Device Location
With your permission, MoovieMe may access approximate or precise location made available through your device.
Location may be used to identify or confirm where an event occurred, associate a Story with a venue or location, organize media, contextualize an event, improve scene or Story understanding, provide location-aware features, or provide other functionality requested by the user.
MoovieMe does not intend to continuously track users’ physical movements or collect background location merely because the application is installed.
Location Embedded in Media
Uploaded photos and videos may contain location metadata.
MoovieMe may process that information to organize media, understand where an event or scene occurred, associate related footage, or improve Story creation and event understanding.
IP-Derived Location
When you access the Service, MoovieMe or our service providers may receive your Internet Protocol address.
An IP address may be used to estimate a general geographic area such as a country, state, region, or city for purposes including security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, localization, troubleshooting, analytics, and understanding the general geographic distribution of our users.
User-Provided Event Location
Users may voluntarily provide an event location, venue, city, region, or other geographic information associated with a Story.
Where applicable law treats precise geolocation as sensitive personal information, we handle such information in accordance with applicable requirements.
3.8 Device and Usage Information
We may automatically collect information regarding your use of MoovieMe, including IP address, device type, operating system, operating-system version, application version, device or application identifiers, language settings, login timestamps, feature interactions, Story activity, upload activity, processing activity, rendering activity, crash information, performance information, error reports, diagnostic information, and security-related information.
We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve MoovieMe.
3.9 Communications With MoovieMe
If you contact us, we may process information contained in your communications.
This may include customer-support requests, emails, feedback, bug reports, complaints, privacy requests, content reports, safety reports, survey responses, and other correspondence.
3.10 Purchase, Subscription, and Render-Credit Information
MoovieMe uses Stripe to process subscriptions, one-time purchases, additional render credits, and other paid services where Stripe payment processing is offered.
Payment credentials are processed by Stripe.
MoovieMe is designed so that it does not directly store your complete credit or debit card number or card security code on MoovieMe systems.
We may receive information from Stripe such as:
- Stripe customer identifier;
- subscription identifier;
- transaction identifier;
- subscription plan;
- product purchased;
- payment status;
- subscription status;
- purchase date;
- renewal date;
- expiration date;
- cancellation date;
- transaction amount;
- currency;
- refunds;
- chargebacks;
- billing disputes;
- billing name;
- billing email;
- billing address where applicable;
- payment-method type;
- card brand;
- card expiration date;
- and the final four digits of a payment card.
We may also maintain information about additional render credits, including credits purchased, credits consumed, credits remaining, and transactions associated with those credits.
Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy and security practices.
4. Device Permissions
Depending on the features available in your version of MoovieMe and the features you choose to use, MoovieMe may request permission to access certain device capabilities.
Photo Library
To select and upload photos or videos and, where supported, save completed content to your device.

Device permissions are controlled through your operating system.
You may grant, deny, or later revoke permissions through your device settings. Certain features may not function when the required permission is unavailable.
MoovieMe does not intend to request access to a device capability merely because the application is installed.
5. How MoovieMe Uses Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence and automated processing are core components of MoovieMe’s movie-creation functionality.
When User Content is submitted, MoovieMe may analyze or process that content to:
- understand the type and structure of an event;
- identify scenes;
- detect segments;
- identify candidate key moments;
- identify people appearing within scenes;
- detect dialogue or speech;
- transcribe speech;
- distinguish speakers;
- associate speakers across clips where useful for Story continuity;
- understand the semantic content of dialogue;
- evaluate technical media characteristics;
- understand relationships between clips;
- arrange footage into sequences;
- determine narrative relevance;
- recommend editing decisions;
- generate or select transitions;
- apply filters or visual treatments;
- recommend or generate music where applicable;
- generate captions or descriptions;
- create thumbnails;
- assist with Re-Cut or Re-Generate features;
- and render completed movies.
Automated systems may evaluate scenes, clips, events, timing, technical quality, and narrative relevance when constructing or recommending a movie.
These evaluations are intended to evaluate the content and Story, not to assign personal worth or desirability scores to individuals depicted in the media.
6. How Google Cloud and Gemini Process Media
MoovieMe currently uses Google Cloud infrastructure and Google’s Gemini artificial-intelligence services as part of its media-processing and analysis pipeline.
Original media files may be uploaded to and stored in Google Cloud infrastructure as necessary to provide the Service.
MoovieMe’s processing pipeline may:
- receive the complete uploaded video through Google Cloud storage and processing infrastructure;
- sample video at approximately one frame per second for certain analysis operations;
- process extracted frames;
- process audio;
- perform speech recognition or transcription;
- process contextual or descriptive information;
- process technical metadata;
- and provide prompts or derived information to AI systems as necessary for the requested operation.
Not every processing operation necessarily receives or uses every component of the original media file.
MoovieMe currently uses enterprise or commercial Google Cloud/Gemini services under which MoovieMe production customer content is not used to train Google’s generalized artificial-intelligence models merely because the content is processed through the Service.
MoovieMe may change or add infrastructure or AI providers in the future. When a change materially affects how User Content is processed, we will update our practices and disclosures as appropriate.
7. Facial and Person Analysis
MoovieMe uses automated systems to detect and understand the presence of people within uploaded media so that it can analyze events and create coherent movies.
MoovieMe does not currently use facial-recognition technology to determine the real-world identity of people appearing in User Content.
In particular, MoovieMe does not currently attempt to identify an individual by legal name from their face, compare individuals against an external facial-recognition database, determine whether a person in User Content is a particular known real-world individual using an external identity database, or authenticate a person’s account based on facial identity.
The Service may distinguish people appearing within a Story as separate visual entities and may determine that the same or similar person appears across relevant portions of the Story for purposes such as editing continuity and event understanding.
MoovieMe may also use contextual descriptions of apparent event roles. For example, depending on the Story, an individual could be contextually described as a bride, groom, player, coach, performer, speaker, attendee, participant, or similar event-specific role.
These descriptions are intended to help MoovieMe understand the narrative structure of an event, not establish a person’s legal identity.
MoovieMe does not intentionally analyze people for the purpose of classifying their race or ethnicity, attractiveness, health status, facial emotional state, gaze, or similar personal characteristics.
If MoovieMe introduces facial recognition, identity verification, demographic inference, emotion recognition, or materially different person-analysis technology in the future, we will evaluate and implement any notice, permission, consent, or privacy controls required before deploying that functionality.
8. Voice, Speech, and Audio Analysis
MoovieMe may analyze audio contained within User Content.
This may include detecting speech, distinguishing speakers, associating the same speaker across portions of a Story, detecting dialogue or narration, performing speech-to-text transcription, analyzing the semantic content of spoken words, identifying sections of dialogue relevant to editing, and performing other audio-processing functions necessary to create a movie.
MoovieMe does not currently use a person’s voice to determine their real-world identity or authenticate their MoovieMe account.
MoovieMe does not intentionally analyze vocal intonation for the purpose of determining a person’s emotional state.
Speaker distinction or matching within a Story is used for media understanding and editing continuity rather than to establish a person’s real-world identity.
9. AI Training, Model Improvement, and Data-Contribution Programs
MoovieMe distinguishes between processing User Content to provide the movie-creation functionality a user requests and using content for generalized artificial-intelligence development, research, dataset development, or commercial licensing.
Uploading content to create a MoovieMe Story does not, by itself, mean that content is automatically placed into a generalized MoovieMe AI-training dataset.
Ordinary Service processing may include analyzing scenes, identifying key moments, transcribing dialogue, arranging clips, recommending edits, generating creative treatments, and rendering a movie.
MoovieMe may separately offer optional AI-improvement, research, or data-contribution programs.
Where offered, eligible users may be able to affirmatively authorize specified content or information to be used for purposes such as:
- training or fine-tuning MoovieMe models;
- improving scene and event understanding;
- improving object or media understanding;
- improving audio-processing systems;
- improving key-moment detection;
- improving video-quality assessment;
- improving sequencing;
- improving editing recommendations;
- evaluating model performance;
- benchmarking;
- creating training or validation datasets;
- creating testing datasets;
- human labeling or annotation;
- quality assurance associated with AI development;
- research;
- product development;
- or development of future AI features.
Participation in such a program is not required to use MoovieMe’s ordinary movie-creation functionality.
Where required, participation will be governed by separate disclosures, permissions, or consent.
MoovieMe may also offer separately authorized programs involving commercial datasets, research partnerships, or licensing of eligible information to third parties.
Uploading private User Content for ordinary Story creation does not, by itself, constitute authorization for MoovieMe to sell or license that content to unrelated third parties for their independent AI-training purposes.
Where a commercial data-contribution program is offered, MoovieMe may receive compensation in connection with authorized datasets or information.
Because User Content may depict people other than the person who uploaded it, content containing identifiable third parties may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, permission requirements, redaction, de-identification, or other safeguards.
A user’s permission to contribute content does not necessarily establish that every identifiable person depicted in that content has authorized every possible commercial use of their image, voice, likeness, or personal information.
10. Human Access to User Content
MoovieMe employees and contractors do not have unrestricted permission to browse private User Content.
Private content is not intended to be routinely viewed by personnel merely because it is stored or processed through MoovieMe.
Authorized personnel or service providers may access User Content where reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes such as:
- responding to a user’s customer-support request;
- investigating an upload failure;
- investigating a processing or rendering failure;
- diagnosing technical bugs;
- maintaining Service reliability;
- testing and securing the Service;
- investigating fraud or abuse;
- investigating security incidents;
- reviewing reported content;
- responding to safety concerns;
- investigating suspected violations of our Terms or policies;
- complying with valid legal requests;
- performing quality assurance where production content is reasonably necessary;
- evaluating AI performance using content eligible for that use;
- performing labeling or annotation under an applicable AI-development program;
- or protecting the rights, safety, security, and integrity of MoovieMe, our users, or others.
Access to User Content is intended to be restricted to personnel whose responsibilities require access.
MoovieMe may use safeguards including role-based access controls, authentication requirements, restricted administrative privileges, access logging, monitoring, confidentiality obligations, and other technical or organizational controls.
Employees and contractors are not authorized to access User Content for personal purposes or curiosity.
11. Collaborative Stories
MoovieMe Stories are collaborative experiences.
Content submitted to a collaborative Story should not be assumed to be visible only to the person who uploaded it.
Contributor Access
A contributor may be able to view:
- media submitted by other authorized Story participants;
- Story progress;
- requested footage;
- processing progress;
- editing progress;
- comments;
- reactions;
- votes;
- clip requests;
- contributor usernames;
- limited contributor names, such as first name and last initial;
- and the completed movie when made available.
Ordinary Story contributors are not intended to receive another participant’s private email address or telephone number merely because they participate in the same Story.
Comments and Reactions
Participants may comment on or react to eligible Story content.
Comments, reactions, usernames, and associated activity may be visible to other participants who have access to the Story.
Clip Voting
Users may be able to vote for clips they believe should be considered for the final movie.
Votes or aggregated voting information may be considered by the host or MoovieMe’s editing systems.
A vote does not guarantee that a clip will be included.
Clip Requests
Participants may create requests asking other participants to capture or provide particular footage.
Requests and responses may be visible to other authorized Story participants.
Finished Movies
Contributors may be permitted to view the completed movie once the host makes it available.
Viewing the finished movie does not provide contributor access to unrelated private Stories, account information, payment information, or host-only administrative functionality.
12. Story Host Access and Controls
The creator or designated host of a Story has greater administrative control over that Story than an ordinary contributor.
A host may be able to:
- view original photos;
- view original video;
- view original audio;
- preview contributed media;
- download original contributed media where supported;
- remove media from the Story;
- remove contributors;
- manage participation;
- initiate processing;
- manage Story activity;
- make a finished movie available;
- control sharing;
- and administer other Story settings.
Contributors should understand that media submitted to a Story may be directly viewable by the Story host and is not processed solely by automated systems.
Information Visible to Hosts
A host may be able to see limited information concerning Story participants, including first name, last initial, email address, telephone number, username, and participation information.
Host access to this information is intended to support Story administration, coordination, invitations, and operation.
Hosting a Story does not provide access to a participant’s unrelated private Stories, private personal media library, complete account records, passwords, payment information, or information unrelated to the hosted Story.
13. Removal of Media From a Story
A host or contributor may be able to remove eligible source media from a Story.
When a source clip is removed, it will no longer be used for future processing, editing, Re-Cuts, Re-Generations, or new renders.
Removing source media does not necessarily alter a completed movie that was rendered before the source media was removed.
If the movie is subsequently edited, Re-Cut, Re-Generated, or rendered again, the removed media will not be included.
Different procedures apply where content must be removed as part of an account-deletion or legally valid privacy request, as described below.
14. Public Profiles, Explore, Posts, and Social Features
MoovieMe includes or may include social and public-facing features such as Explore, profiles, posts, followers, following, friends, comments, reactions, recommendations, search, and other discovery features.
MoovieMe distinguishes between private collaborative Story content and content that a user affirmatively chooses to publish or make available through social features.
Explore
Explore may display movies, posts, profiles, or other content that applicable users and privacy settings permit to be publicly discovered.
Content associated with private accounts is not ordinarily displayed to the general MoovieMe community through Explore.
Public Profiles
When a profile is public, other users may be able to view information including published Moovies, posts, profile information, post count, follower count, following count, comments, reactions, and other information the user has chosen or permitted to be public.
Private Profiles
When a profile is private, people who have not been accepted or otherwise authorized generally will not be able to view private post content.
Limited profile information may remain visible for purposes such as identifying the account and allowing follow or friend requests.
Private Story Content
Making a profile public does not automatically make all underlying Story information public.
Unless a user affirmatively publishes or shares eligible content, information such as raw source footage, contributor uploads, Story workspaces, transcripts, AI analysis, editing metadata, project information, and other private Story data is not ordinarily displayed through the user’s public profile.
Publishing a finished movie does not automatically publish its underlying source clips or editing project.
Public Interactions
Information intentionally posted in public areas of MoovieMe may be viewed, copied, commented on, reacted to, recorded, or otherwise interacted with by other people.
Changing content from public to private may restrict future access within MoovieMe, but we cannot necessarily retrieve screenshots, recordings, downloads, or copies previously created outside systems controlled by MoovieMe.
15. Shareable Movie Links
MoovieMe may allow users to create shareable links to completed movies.
Unless a user deliberately publishes a movie through a public feature, an ordinary shareable link is intended to function as an unlisted link rather than as public publication.
Anyone who possesses a valid unlisted link may be able to view the associated movie unless additional restrictions apply.
Ordinary unlisted share links are not intended to be indexed by search engines, appear in public search results, or be displayed in public MoovieMe directories merely because the link exists.
Where available, MoovieMe may provide sharing controls such as password protection, expiration dates, link revocation, and download permissions.
A link may remain active until it expires, is revoked, is replaced, or the associated content or account is deleted.
Revoking a link prevents continued access through that link.
A shareable link does not, by itself, provide recipients with access to source footage, project files, AI analysis, transcripts, contributor contact information, editing controls, or other private Story information.
Where downloads are enabled, recipients may download the movie.
Even where downloads are disabled, MoovieMe cannot guarantee that a recipient will be unable to make a copy through screen recording, external recording, or another method outside MoovieMe’s control.

17. How We Disclose Information
Service Providers
We use vendors and technical service providers to operate MoovieMe.
Current technologies and providers include services or infrastructure involving:
- Google Cloud Services;
- Google Cloud Storage;
- Google Cloud Run;
- Google Gemini;
- Firebase;
- Sentry;
- and Stripe.
MoovieMe’s backend and media-processing environment also uses technical components including FastAPI, Celery, MongoDB, Redis, FFmpeg, and Grafana.
Some of these technologies operate as components of MoovieMe’s infrastructure rather than as independent recipients of personal information.
Service providers are given access only to information reasonably necessary to perform the services we request, subject to applicable contractual and legal restrictions.
Other Story Participants
Information and User Content may be disclosed to other authorized participants in a collaborative Story as described above.
Story Hosts
Story hosts may receive additional Story-related participant information and administrative access as described above.
Other Users or the Public
Information you intentionally publish through a public profile, Explore, posts, comments, reactions, or other public functionality may be visible to other users or the public according to your privacy settings.
At Your Direction
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, including when you invite another person, publish content, create a sharing link, share a movie through another application, or otherwise request a feature that requires disclosure.
Business Transactions
Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.
Where required, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes in ownership or control affecting personal information.
Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons
We may disclose information where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, respond to governmental requests, protect the rights or property of MoovieMe, investigate fraud, prevent abuse, enforce our agreements, investigate security incidents, protect users, prevent harm, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
18. Advertising, Tracking, Sale, and Sharing
At the time of this Privacy Policy, MoovieMe does not currently use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs such as advertising attribution or behavioral-tracking SDKs within the application.
MoovieMe does not currently use personal information for cross-app targeted advertising through such SDKs.
MoovieMe may introduce advertising-supported functionality in the future, including the possibility that certain account tiers may display advertising while paid tiers offer an ad-free experience.
If future advertising functionality involves practices legally defined as tracking, targeted advertising, “selling,” or “sharing” personal information, MoovieMe will provide applicable notices, device permissions, consent mechanisms, or opt-out controls before engaging in such activity where required.
Separately, MoovieMe may offer optional AI-development, research, dataset, or commercial data-contribution programs as described in this Privacy Policy.
Participation in such programs is separate from ordinary use of MoovieMe and may be subject to additional authorization.
19. Communications
MoovieMe may communicate with users by email, push notification, and, where authorized, SMS or text message.
Service and Transactional Communications
We may send communications concerning Story invitations, Story activity, contributions, processing status, rendering status, finished movies, Re-Cut or Re-Generate activity, account information, security, support, billing, subscriptions, purchases, legal notices, and material Service changes.
Certain account, security, legal, or billing communications may be necessary even if you disable promotional communications.
Marketing Communications
Where permitted and where required consent has been obtained, MoovieMe may send communications concerning new features, products, offers, promotions, events, and other marketing information.
You may opt out of promotional email without opting out of necessary Service communications.
Marketing email will include an unsubscribe mechanism or another method for changing marketing preferences.
Promotional SMS enrollment, if offered, will be optional and subject to any separate consent required by law.
Opting out of promotional communications does not terminate your account.
20. Information Concerning Children and Teen Users
Minimum Age
MoovieMe is intended for people who are at least 13 years old.
A person under 13 may not independently create a MoovieMe account, join a Story as an account holder, or directly submit User Content through the Service.
If we learn that a person under 13 created an account or directly provided personal information in violation of these requirements, we may suspend or terminate the account and delete or otherwise appropriately handle the information.
Users Ages 13 Through 17
Users between 13 and 17 may use MoovieMe, subject to our Terms, applicable law, and age-appropriate privacy and safety protections.
Teen users may be able to create accounts, participate in Stories, upload media, view Story content, comment, react, vote, create or respond to clip requests, view completed movies, maintain profiles, and use social functionality.
MoovieMe may apply additional protections to known teen accounts, including more protective visibility settings, restrictions concerning advertising or tracking, limitations on commercial uses of information, enhanced reporting or blocking functionality, and additional safeguards concerning publicly available content.
A teen user’s ordinary use of MoovieMe does not automatically authorize their content for commercial licensing or generalized third-party AI training.
Accounts known to belong to people under 18 are not treated as automatically eligible for optional commercial data-contribution programs solely because they use MoovieMe.
21. Minors Appearing in User Content
Photos, videos, or audio uploaded by eligible users may depict children under 13 or other minors.
For example, minors may appear in content recorded at weddings, birthdays, family gatherings, sporting events, school activities, concerts, community events, and other events.
Content known or reasonably identified as depicting minors may be tagged or otherwise designated within MoovieMe’s systems so that appropriate privacy, processing, sharing, retention, or safety rules can be applied.
Such a designation is intended to facilitate safety and privacy protections, not to determine a child’s exact age or create a demographic profile.
Minor-containing content may be processed as necessary to provide requested Story and movie-creation functionality.
Additional restrictions may apply before minor-containing content can be publicly discoverable, published to Explore, shared outside a Story, used in an optional data-contribution program, or otherwise made available beyond authorized participants.
Content known to contain minors is not automatically eligible for generalized AI training, commercial dataset creation, targeted advertising, or commercial licensing merely because it was uploaded to MoovieMe.
MoovieMe does not intend to use minor-containing footage to create advertising profiles of children or intentionally infer sensitive characteristics about them for advertising.
Users who upload content depicting minors are responsible for having any authority, permission, or consent required to record, upload, share, or publish that content.
Additional requirements are described in our Minor Content Policy:
https://moovieme.ai/minor-content-policy/
22. Requests Concerning a Minor
A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized person may contact MoovieMe concerning content depicting a minor even if neither the requester nor the minor has a MoovieMe account.
Requests may be submitted to:
hello@moovieme.ai
We may ask for information reasonably necessary to identify the affected content, locate the relevant Story or movie, verify the identity of the requester, and establish the requester’s authority concerning the minor.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, MoovieMe may remove content, restrict content, change its visibility, de-identify information, prevent future use, or take another appropriate action.
23. Data Retention
MoovieMe maintains different retention periods for different categories of information based on how the information is used.
Original Source Footage — Up to 12 Months
Original photos and videos uploaded to a Story may generally be retained for up to 12 months following the most recent activity involving that Story.
We retain source footage during this period to support functionality such as Re-Cut, Re-Generate, editing, enhancement, and re-rendering.
Activity requiring access to the original footage may restart the retention period.
Users may be able to delete source footage earlier while retaining a completed movie.
Compressed and Transcoded Media — Generally 7 Days
Temporary media copies created for compression, transcoding, processing, rendering, or delivery are generally deleted within 7 days after the relevant processing operation has successfully completed unless temporarily required to complete or recover a processing job.
Extracted Frames — Generally 7 Days
Frames extracted for AI analysis, scene detection, event understanding, or related processing are generally deleted within 7 days after the relevant analysis is completed.
Frames selected as thumbnails or incorporated into a finished product may be retained with the associated content.
Transcripts — Up to 90 Days
Machine-generated transcripts or speech-to-text information may generally be retained for up to 90 days following the most recent Story activity where needed for captioning, editing, search, narration, audio analysis, or content understanding.
Transcripts may be deleted earlier when the associated Story or source content is deleted.
AI Analysis and Editing Information — Up to 12 Months
Information generated through analysis may include detected scenes, segments, key events, timing information, classifications, editing recommendations, sequence information, clip arrangements, and similar derived results.
This information may be retained for up to 12 months following the most recent Story activity when necessary to support editing, Re-Cut, Re-Generate, or related functionality.
Finished Movies
Finished movies may remain available until the user deletes the movie or account.
MoovieMe may establish an inactivity period, such as 24 months, following which content associated with an inactive account may be scheduled for deletion after appropriate notice.
Thumbnails and Preview Images
Thumbnails and preview images associated with a finished movie generally remain for the same period as the movie.
Deleted Stories — Up to 30 Days
When an individual Story is deleted, it may remain in a restricted deletion or recovery state for up to 30 days before permanent removal from active production systems.
Application and Diagnostic Logs — Generally 30 Days
Routine application, processing, performance, and diagnostic logs are generally retained for up to 30 days.
Information reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, incident investigation, or enforcement may be retained for up to 12 months, or longer where required by law or necessary for an ongoing investigation or legal matter.
Backups — Up to 90 Days
Residual information removed from active systems may remain in encrypted backup or disaster-recovery systems for up to 90 days before being overwritten or deleted through our normal backup lifecycle.
Backup information is not used for ordinary product functionality.
It is restored only where reasonably necessary for purposes such as disaster recovery or security.
We may delete or de-identify information sooner where it is no longer reasonably necessary or where applicable law requires a shorter retention period.
24. Source Footage After a Movie Is Rendered
Completed movies and their original source footage are treated separately.
MoovieMe may retain source clips after a movie is rendered because features such as Re-Cut, Re-Generate, editing, enhancement, and re-rendering depend on the original media.
Users may be able to delete original source footage while retaining the finished movie.
If source footage is deleted, functionality requiring the original clips may no longer be available for that movie.
Users may also delete the entire Story or project, including associated source footage and generated content.
25. Account Deletion
MoovieMe provides users with the ability to initiate account deletion through the application.
When you request account deletion:
- the deletion process begins;
- access to the account may be disabled;
- information associated with the account is scheduled for deletion or permanent de-identification;
- information in active production systems is generally scheduled for deletion within 30 days; and
- residual information may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten or deleted.
Information subject to deletion may include profile information, uploaded source footage, rendered movies, thumbnails, project information, AI-generated editing metadata, and other User Content.
Certain information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or legally required for tax obligations, accounting, fraud prevention, security, payment disputes, legal claims, regulatory compliance, or enforcement of our agreements.
Where practical, information retained for those purposes will be limited to what is necessary.
Deleting your MoovieMe account may not automatically cancel a subscription billed through an external payment or platform provider. Where applicable, you may need to separately cancel the subscription with the provider through which the subscription was purchased.
Once permanent account deletion is completed, deleted account information cannot ordinarily be recovered.
26. What Happens to Collaborative Content When a Contributor Deletes It
Collaborative media creates additional privacy considerations because a contributor’s clip may already have been incorporated into a movie belonging to a collaborative Story.
When a contributor removes an individual source clip, that source clip will not be available for future edits, Re-Cuts, Re-Generations, or new renders.
Removal of a source clip does not necessarily automatically modify a movie that was rendered before the removal request.
If that movie is subsequently processed again, the removed clip will not be included.
If a contributor deletes their account or exercises an applicable legal right requiring deletion, MoovieMe will delete or de-identify the contributor’s source media and associated personal information in accordance with applicable procedures.
Where the deleted media has already been incorporated into a completed movie maintained by MoovieMe, MoovieMe may temporarily restrict the affected movie, remove the affected portion, replace the affected version, or create an updated version that excludes the deleted contributor’s media.
This allows MoovieMe to address the deletion without necessarily deleting unrelated content submitted by other participants.
MoovieMe may retain limited provenance information necessary to identify where contributed media was used so that deletion requests can be implemented and deleted media is not inadvertently incorporated into future renders.
MoovieMe cannot ordinarily retrieve or delete copies that were previously downloaded, exported, screen-recorded, independently saved, or distributed outside systems controlled by MoovieMe.
27. Requests Concerning Content Submitted by Other People
You do not need to have a MoovieMe account to contact us regarding photos, video, audio, or other content in which you believe you are identifiable.
Requests may be submitted to:
hello@moovieme.ai
You may request that MoovieMe review the continued processing, storage, or availability of that content.
To locate the content, we may request information such as a sharing link, Story identifier, approximate timestamp, description of the content, name of the uploader where known, or other contextual information.
We may take reasonable measures to determine whether the requester is the depicted person or is authorized to act on that person’s behalf.
We will evaluate requests based on applicable law, the requester’s rights, the uploader’s rights, the rights of other Story participants, freedom-of-expression considerations where applicable, safety considerations, and other relevant legal exceptions.
Submission of a request does not necessarily mean MoovieMe is legally required to remove content in every situation.
Where removal is appropriate, we may delete source media, restrict access, de-identify information, prevent further use, remove the material from future renders, or modify a completed movie maintained by MoovieMe.
We cannot ordinarily retrieve copies that were previously downloaded, exported, recorded, or independently shared outside MoovieMe.
We may retain limited records concerning a removal request where necessary to document our response, prevent deleted material from being restored, resolve disputes, maintain safety, or comply with applicable law.

If MoovieMe intentionally expands into jurisdictions such as the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we may supplement or update this Privacy Policy before or in connection with that expansion to address applicable requirements such as legal bases for processing, international transfers, data-subject rights, processor disclosures, and other jurisdiction-specific requirements.
